Lamont Anthony Brooks Jr.

(January 12, 1997 – May 27, 2020)

Lamont Anthony Brooks Jr. was born January 12, 1997 in Milwaukee, WI to Lamont Anthony Brooks Sr. and Renee Brooks.

In 2014, he left Milwaukee, WI and moved to Las Vegas, NV. He would visit home often to see his family, friends, and those who he loved dearly.

Lamont Jr. also known as “Monty”, had the biggest heart and his smile would light up a room. He was smart, loving, intelligent, quiet, charismatic, and very talented. His soul and heart was pure.

He loved spending time with his family and friends, and even though he may have spoken softly, his voice was still heard.

Due to a tragic incident on May 27, 2020, our loved one, Lamont “Monty” Brooks Jr. received his wings and was called home to glory.  His mission here had been complete. 

He was just 23 years old with a bright future ahead.

Within the 12 hours of Monty answering his call to glory, his grandfather, Claude Brooks had also received his wings. As they are joined together, it shows God was waiting on them both.

Lamont Jr. is survived by his father: Lamont (Kara) Brooks Sr., mother: Renee Brooks, two sisters: Nia and Savannah Brooks, two brothers: DaVonte Brooks and Jonathan Kerkenbush, grandmother: Shirley Brooks, three stepbrothers: Vonte’ Green, Kendrick Green and Anthony Berry, one niece: Bella, two aunts: Yvonna (David) Lemieux and Rebecca Knox, two uncles: Mark (Rhonda) Clemons and Shelton (Layla) Brooks Sr. and a host of family members, cousins, extended family and friends. 

Special services for Lamont Anthony Brooks Jr. will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Davis Chapel located 6200 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV  89119.
