Mrs. Laselle E. Grant was born on May 27, 1922 to the late Christian and Rosamond Clendinen. Laselle, affectionately known as ""Lassie,"" was a product of Charlotte Amalie High School in St. Thomas, USVI. After leaving St. Thomas Lassie moved to several cities before settling in New York City. It was in New York City where Lassie was employed for over thirty years by the New York Transit Authority and she met her husband William ""Bill"" Grant to whom she was happily married for 35 years before his death in April, 2005.
After retiring from New York Transit Authority, Bill and Lassie moved to Las Vegas. During their years in Las Vegas, they traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. Their union took them on many adventures and exciting places, which included numerous trips to Europe and Brazil.
Lassie was strong, witty, intelligent and full of poise and grace. She always held herself and family in high regards and continued to do so until she entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 21, 2010.
