Laura A. McGeahy

Laura Ann McGeahy, 63, a teacher, of Henderson, passed away March 26, 2012. She was born Dec. 29, 1948 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a 31year resident of Nevada. Laura was a devoted wife, mother and teacher, whose compassion, dedication and patience has had a positive impact on thousands of lives. She was a teacher in the Clark County School District for nearly 20 years, most recently at Foothills High School, and at Rancho High School prior to that. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. McGeahy son, Stuart A. McGeahy and father, James Whelan. Laura is survived by her children, Renee Carlos Sarria, James E. Brenda McGeahy, Melissa Lixfield and Shaun McGeahy her mother, Agnes Whelan her siblings, Mary A. Weiss, and James Whelan and seven grandchildren, Miranda, Logan, Jacob, Brayden, Conor, Reagan, and Caden.
