Leola M Belford

Leola Anderson Belford of Las Vegas, NV, has passed away Friday afternoon, 12/17/2021, at age 100.  She joins her parents Catherine and Clarence Anderson, daughter Phyllis, husband Nimrod L. Belford, her sister Catherine, 4 brothers Clarence, Harold, Leroy, Wilbur, and many other friends and relatives.

Leola was born in Mt. Holly, NJ to parents Catherine and Clarence Anderson on 01/04/1921.  She attended school in Mt. Holly, NJ, and joined Mt. Mariah A.M.E. Church there.  In 1972, she married Nimrod L. Belford, then joined St. John Baptist Church in Camden, NJ.

In 1975, the family moved to Las Vegas, NV.  Three weeks later, she joined the 2nd Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend V.C.L. Coleman, and she was there until God decided to take her home. Leola not only attended this church for almost 45 years, but she also joined the Usher Board and served as an usher for many years. She was an active Church member. 

Leola leaves to mourn 3 sons, Nimrod B.(Sharon Ludlam), Eric (the late Sue), and Darren (Alicia), plus 2 grandchildren, Cameron and Alexandra, and many other loving relatives and friends.  She was a fun and entertaining person, always doing and saying funny things, telling jokes, to make you laugh.  Her family and friends will miss her with much love and she will always be remembered. May she rest in peace.
