Leroy Williams Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021. He was born on August 1, 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama to Leroy Williams Sr. and Adell Williams. He graduated from Galileo High School in San Francisco, Ca. He moved to Santa Rosa, Ca where he met Mary Ann Marchbanks. Together they moved to Sacramento, CA where he received his bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
Soon after, Leroy became a probation officer and later moved into social work. It was through social work where his true spirit shined. Leroy's mission was to be a present and supportive father and mentor to those around him. He was an advocate for his family and friends; regularly checking in to make sure they were striving for their happiness.
Leroy was a die-hard 49ers and Giants fan. He also enjoyed watching horse races. A lover of the classics; James Brown was his favorite artist. His favorite song was the Edwin Hawkins Singers gospel "Oh Happy Day". He loved music with a message and positive energy that reflected his way of life.
Leroy and Mary Ann were blessed with three boys through their union. He leaves his most cherished memories with his wife Mary Ann Williams; three sons, Rashad Williams (Tiffany Williams) of Tacoma, Washington, Rahman Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Asante Williams (fiancée JeVoi Blount) of Decatur, Georgia. Three grandchildren Mayani Williams, Jade Rogers and Malcolm Williams; His mother Adell Williams, three brothers Steve Williams of San Francisco, California, Rueben Thomas (Denise Thomas) of Oakland, California and Alfred Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada; Four sisters Peggy Suell of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sylvia Suell of Las Vegas, Nevada, Antoinette Bailey of Las Vegas, Nevada and Loretta Calloway (Dwight Calloway) of Fairfield, California and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by Leroy Williams Sr.
He will be remembered for his support, his love, his sincerity, and his everlasting spirit.
