Lewis R. Bewley

Lewis Ray Bewley, 90, died on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was born on May 11, 1923 in Charlie, Texas and spent his earlier years in Odessa. He graduated from Odessa High School, then attended the University of Oklahoma on a football scholarship and later earned a mechanical engineering degree from California Polytechnic State University. He served in the U. S. Navy.
He married Mamie Dale, his wife of 35 years in 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the former owner of Permian Air Conditioning Company, Inc. in Odessa, TX and after 52 years retired in Las Vegas in 2003.
He is survived by his wife Mamie, daughters Becky Bewley of Las Vegas and Betty Lou Bewley of Austin, TX, two stepsons Steve Mauldin of Los Angeles, California and Les Mauldin of Minden, TX. He had two grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and 6 stepgrandchildren .
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home at 6200 S. Eastern Avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada. His stepgrandson Michael Mauldin of Dallas, Texas will be officiating.
