Lido Palacios Regner, 79, beloved husband, father and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on November 29, 2020. He entered this world on December 27, 1940 born to Francisco and Victoria Regner. He is survived by his wife Rebecca; his children Ricardo (Shawna), Eduardo (Angela); his grandchildren Elina, Joy, (Zander, Ashton); his siblings Lita Huang (sister) and Francisco Regner Jr. (brother). Lido was born in Cebu City, Philippines and graduated from the University of San Carlos with a degree in Architecture in 1961. In 1975, he moved to the United States residing in Dumont, New Jersey. On September 11, 1976 he married Rebecca Uy Regner. They moved to Syracuse, NY where they started their family with their two sons Ricardo and Eduardo. Lido worked as an architect for The Pyramid Cos. and aided in the drafting of the Carousel Mall Shopping Center. After he retired as an architect, he pursued his passion by building a house for his family in his hometown of Cebu, Philippines in 2004. Every visit to Cebu from then on was spent either working on the house or spending quality time with his family.
In 2008, Lido and Rebecca moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where they have enjoyed a festive retirement. Many of their days were spent enjoying the perks of the Las Vegas casinos along with hosting family and friends when they came to visit. At the casinos, Lido loved to ‘people watch’ while drinking his coffee and eating his favorite sandwiches at a nearby café. Lido was dearly loved and admired by all his friends and family for his sense of humor, infectious laugh and his ability to entertain. He will always be remembered for his ‘Elvis Style’: Slicked back hair, Hawaiian shirt, rolled up sleeves, sunglasses and always his signature boots. Lido will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
