Linda was born in the Philippines on August 15, 1962, into a musically inclined family. They were among the first batch of the UP Cherubim and Seraphim under Prof. Flora Zarco Rivera. She was also a member of the High School Glee Club, graduating HS from Trinity College of Quezon City in 1979. In 1981, while in college at the UP Asian Institute of Tourism, she joined the Philippine Madrigal Singers led by Prof. Andrea O. Veneracion. Linda was a member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers from 1981 to 1988. It was during this stint that she met Jerry, also a member of the choir.

Jerry and Linda married in 1989 and moved to Sweden where Jelin was born. In 1994, after Jerry’s graduation, they decided to move and settle down in the USA. In NYC, they both worked as financial advisors at the World Financial Group and joined the NY Consort, composed of friends and alumni of The Philippine Madrigal Singers living in the New Jersey and New York area. The family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2003.

While holding steady jobs through the years, Linda continued to play the piano for different churches (including Lamb of God Lutheran Church) and teaching different church choirs in Las Vegas. The family found their church home at the Trinity United Methodist Church. They started out as members of the choir until Linda became the church accompanist/pianist and children’s choir director. In 2015, Linda assumed the position of Musical Director. In 2021, she also became the Administrative Assistant to Pastor Jennifer Hageman with all the church’s function including the Society of St. Stephen, an agency of the Feed America program. It was during a church service in 2022, while playing the piano, that she suffered a stroke.
