LM Barber

LM Barber was born Andrew Coleman Barber Jr. 1-26-1919 In Como, Mississippi to Andrew and Ethel Barber. He was one of 12 siblings 10 of whom preceded him in death. He physically departed on 1-22-2015 at approximately 7 am.

He spent his early teen years in the CCC Camp (2 terms) then after he joined the Army where he met and married his first wife Anna and served four years. He then moved to Los Angeles, California where he attended Long Beach evening High School and Compton College and received his AA. He began working for the city of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks for 34 years and met his present wife Murriel L. Jackson. He worked security for Zody's, and then in 1980 moved his family to Las Vegas where he worked for the Silver Slipper until 1986. He continued working security until he retired in 2004.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Murriel Barber, Daughters Velvet Johnson, Marlys Barber, Sons Lejean Tillman, Denzil Barber, Andrew Barber, and Stephen Easley and 16 Grandchildren, Michele Morris, Colin Jones, Arianna Tillman, Tenej Ikner, Denzil Barber Jr, Lejean Barber, Marvin Barber, Andrew Calhoun III, Avion Calhoun, Stephanie Easley, Briana Easley, Jocelyn Easley, Shenay Barber, Marqui Barber, Marcus Barber, Shuree Barber and 6 Great Grandchildren.
