Louina Champoux age 58 of Las Vegas, NV passed away on October 17, 2021. Louina born March 8, 1963, in Yakima, WA was the eighth of ten children to Alfred Andrew Champoux (deceased) and Rita Stegmiller Champoux (deceased). She became a much-loved entertainer who performed as the lead singer with multiple bands on the Las Vegas strip and throughout much of America. In later years, she worked as a manicurist at various spas and salons in Las Vegas. She was a treasured member of a large extended family and is leaving a legacy of laughter, love and music. (Oh yeah, and lots and lots of photographs). Louina was well known for her generosity, her large circle of friends, and her devotion and affection for her animals. She was also known as the “cool aunt” because of her on-stage fashion sense, rad hairstyles, and willingness to slip her under-age nephews an occasional beer. She will be greatly missed.
Louina is survived by sisters Reine’ Hale, Nanette Seay, Joleen Brickey, Marzella Schwartz, Tina Howard (David Howard), and brothers Fred and Brian Champoux. Also, twenty-five nieces and nephews, forty-eight great nieces & nephews, and ten great, great-nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased brothers are Andre’ Champoux and Randy Champoux.
