Louis A. Bozzuto, Sr. (91) of Jupiter, Florida passed away, of natural causes on May 30, 2020 in Jupiter, Fl. Louis was born in Elmsford, NY to Antoinette Barone and Frank Bozzuto. Louis’s parents were immigrants from Italy. He was the 10th child of 10. He had 3 sisters and 6 brothers all of which are deceased. He grew up in Elmsford and graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School where he played football.
He joined the US Naval forces in 1948 and served a total of 22 years. A portion of those years he served in Korean War as a Sr. Chief Petty Officer in charge of refueling ships at sea and in charge of maintenance and repairs in the ship’s shop. In 1951 he married Theresa Cristello. They had four sons. They divorced in 1964.
In 1967, he met and married Marie O Hara. She had a daughter and son. After his career in the military, they moved to New Smyrna, Florida where Lou managed a condominium on the beach. He loved the beach and the outdoors. Upon retirement they moved to Boca Raton, FL where he worked at Boca West Golf and Country Club.
Through the years, Lou was an avid golfer and enjoyed the sport immensely. He played in many golf tournaments including the NE Florida Seniors Amateur Championship where he won. He joked of his (13) hole in ones, more than Tiger Woods!
After spending many years in Florida, he and Marie moved to Henderson, Nevada. Lou and Marie were married 46 years. After Marie passed away at age 90, he decided, by Gods providence to move back to Jupiter, Florida. He attended Grace Immanuel Bible Church in Jupiter where he began to hear truth about the gospel and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He loved attending the Wednesday evening hymn and prayer service.
Louis is survived by his four adult children, Stephen, Louis Jr, Michael, and Christopher, all living in Florida, one step-daughter Bonnie, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Louis will have a military honors burial in Las Vegas on Thursday, June 11th at 3:00 at Davis Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV. A video of interment can be viewed at davisfuneralservies.com on-line and will also be shown at the memorial service held Friday, July 24th at 10:30am at Grace Immanuel Bible Church, 17475 Jonathan Dr, Jupiter, Fl.
