Louis J. Ricca Sr. passed away June 11, 2012. After serving 21 years in the U.S. military, he retired to Las Vegas in 1967, where he held hotel positions such as chief of security at The Castaways and chief engineer at both the Sands and the original MGM Grand. He also partnered in The Stage Door and formally retired in 1982. His proudest and biggest accomplishment is his family which consists of his wife, of 64 years, Joan five children, Joyce, Camille, Melanie, Christine and Louis Jr. two sonsinlaw, Mark and Jeff one daughterinlaw, Lewanda and seven grandchildren, Scott, Stacey, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Melissa, Mitchell and Mikayla and their spouses Charlie, Chaya, Nate and Dayle. He was also blessed with four greatgrandchildren, Erika, Londyn, Ava and Siena. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather that loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed his friends, music, TV, Bingo, Keno machines and vacationing at Crystal Pier in San Diego. He especially enjoyed spoiling his pet bird, Baby Girl and dog, Tasha. He is loved and will be missed by all of us that knew him. As Lou or Pop would always say, Who Loves You. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S.
