Lowell Alfred Hansen, 72, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away following a long illness, on Saturday, October 27, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.
Lowell was born in Caldwell, ID, to Rodney Alton and Zira Jean on January 19, 1946. He was baptized into the LDS church in 1954 and served as a missionary in Sé£o Paulo, Brazil from 1964 to 1966.
A graduate of Armstrong College in Berkeley, CA, Lowell spent time on the East Coast working for Emerson Electric (St. Louis), General Electric (Louisville and Norfolk), and Bally Gaming (Chicago) before settling in the Las Vegas Valley in 1990. He devoted the rest of his professional life to casino gaming with Bally, Casino Data Systems and C2 Gaming.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Pamela, his children Jason, Ryan, Ashley and son-in-law Jacob Blasdell, his siblings Karen Hutto, Laureen Anderson, Margaret Hunt, Bruce Hansen, David Hansen and Thayne Hansen, and his grandchildren Zander, Kylie and Robyn Blasdell.
A Celebration of His Life will be held Saturday, November 17, 3:00 PM at the Red Rock Country Club in Summerlin.
