Mahelende Lardizabal Belmonte

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mahelende "Helen" Lardizabal Belmonte, who was called to her eternal rest on February 26, 2024, at the age of 101.
 
Born on January 16, 1923, in Sagada, Mt. Province, Philippines to Felix and Trinidad Lardizabal.

Helen graduated with a secondary education degree, she devoted her life to nurturing young minds as a teacher in the field of education. Her passion for teaching left an indelible mark on the countless lives she touched. She was a schoolteacher for most of her life and then retired as a Family planning counselor.

Helen is survived by her loving children, Glorifin Belmonte, Wilhelmina (Mehl Almogela), John (Jovita Belmonte), Leo (Amie Belmonte), and Bernadette (Theo Cachero-deceased). Grandchildren, Lee Aubrey Almogela, Lindsay Shane Almogela, Christian Daniel Cachero, Krystal Courtney Belmonte, Alexa Jade Cachero (Anthony Paikai). Great Grandchildren, Nathaniel Kekoa Paikai and Lucas Theo Aki Paikai. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Rosary will be held for Helen's life at the Main Chapel on March 10, 2024, at 9:00 am, located at 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119. Following the Graveside service that will take place at 11:00 am on the same day at the designated location.
