Maria Aspiras Ancheta

Maria Aspiras Ancheta, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on December 15, 2021.
Maria was born in La Union, Philippines to Melquiades and Maxima Aspiras on December 5,
1930, the youngest of 7 children.
Maria, 43, was a teacher at La Consolacion Catholic School in Manila when she met
Nicholas Ancheta from Hawaii through penpal. A year later, turned “forever” when they married
in 1974. Shortly thereafter, she immigrated to Hawaii to join her husband. Married for 20 years
with no children until Nick’s death in 1994.
Maria was a spiritual woman and involved in church activities including singing in the
choir during services. She moved to Las Vegas in 2011. She enjoyed singing karaoke, playing
slot machines and loved the buffet.
She will be missed by family, friends and all who knew her. May she Rest In Peace.
