Maria Jesus Ortiz

Maria Jesus Reyes Ortiz, age 73 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on December 17, 2021, in Las Vegas,
Nevada.
Maria was born in El Salvador, Central America to Martin and Ofelia Vanegas Reyes on April 26, 1948.
Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She lived a very happy life serving and caring
for all those around her. She was an active member of her local church where she especially loved to
volunteer her gift of cooking.
Maria is preceded in death by Miguel Angel Ortiz and Rudy Marlon Ortiz.
Maria is survived by Christina Wolosin, Christian Ortiz, Aliro Ortiz, David Wolosin, Desiree Ortiz, Rudy
Angel Ortiz, Aminah Ortiz, Justice Wolosin and Genesis Wolosin.
Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Davis Funeral Home with
Pastor Diego Trujillo, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Christian Ortiz, Aliro Ortiz, David Wolosin, and Rudy Angel Ortiz.

Afterglow
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
