Marie Lucas

Marie Anna Lucas, 88, of Henderson, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 25. She was born February 29, 1924 in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, she was a 20year resident of Nevada. She was a retired registered nurse, having served as a first lieutenant with the U.S. Army in World War II. She was married 50 years to James A. Lucas. She was director of Del Rosa Convalescent Hospital in San Bernardino, California She raised three children and cared for her husband in his illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Zilker mother, Anna Marie Zilker brother, Dan Zilker and husband, James A Lucas. She is survived by sons, James Daniel Lucas of Henderson, and Patrick Michael Lucas of Las Vegas daughter, Diane Reyes and husband, Caesar of Apple Valley, California sister, Ruth Goodin and husband, Edward of Northampton, Pennsylvania granddaughter, Anna Marie Jones and husband, Chris of Lake Elsinore, California grandson, Daniel Jeffrey Lucas of Burbank, California and six greatgrandchildren.
Services with military honors will be at noon, Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas.
