Marshall Layne Bright, 57 of Las Vegas, NV passed away on February 28, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV.
Marshall was born in Las Vegas, NV to parents Lawrence L. Bright and Rita M. Bright on
December 8, 1961.
Marshall was raised in Westminster, California. He returned to Las Vegas in 1996 where he
pursued his career of being an automotive technician. He was a master Volvo and master ASE
technician. He loved helping people and was very proud of his accomplishments in the
automotive field. He loved to collect coins and bowling was a hobby he enjoyed even in his
childhood. He would ride his bicycle every day to the bowling alley where he would keep
score for league bowlers. He said they would pay him a little money and buy him dinner for
his effort. With the money he earned he would bowl. Marshall loved almost every sport and
was a lifetime Los Angeles Dodgers, USC Trojan football and NASCAR fan. His initials were
MLB; he said he thought as a child that would mean he would be a professional baseball
player. That was not to be but he did play Little League baseball where he exceled in every
position.
Marshall is preceded in death by his parents, his paternal and maternal grandparents and his
beloved Uncle Don.
Marshall is survived by his long-time partner Tracie L. Mowery, his sister Kimberley A. Bright, 2
nieces, 1 nephew, his Uncle Bob and Aunt Pam, his Aunt Gina, many cousins, friends and his
two feline buddies Jeff and Jimmie who brought Marshall much comfort and joy.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Marshall on March 23, 2019. Where family and close
friends will gather to honor and remember him.
