Martha Joann Scott

Martha Joann Scott (81) returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday December 5th, 2018.

Joann was born January 25, 1937 to Karl T. Wines and Martha Elizabeth Bausman in Marion, Indiana as the first of two children. Her brother, James Wines, joined them ten years later.

She married Russell Allen Scott on June 19, 1955 days after she graduated from high school. They moved to Las Vegas in 1963. They were happily married for 60 years. Joann had two children, Cynthia Joann Herrera (Timothy) and Craig Allen Scott.

Joann was employed at the Sahara Hotel, Truley Nolan Pest Control, and was the office manager of Dr. James Kineard DDS. Most importantly, she was a mother and a grandmother. Joann is lovingly remembered by six grandchildren, Sjanna Joann Vosdoganis, Gina Marie Herrera, Lara Leigh Raulston, Timothy Justin Herrera, Aubrey Jayde Cushman, Baylee Elizabeth Herrera, and at this point, seven great grandchildren. Joann was also responsible for the care of one of her great grandchildren, Mckayla Joann Herrera.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, and her mother and father.
