Mary Lee Dawson passed away on September 1, 2024. She was born on February 1, 1939 in Morton, MS, and moved to Las Vegas in 1956. She was a passionate nurse and teacher, having served many of the hospitals and medical facilities in town, as well as working for the Clark County School District. She was retired and active in the church and community. She leaves to mourn her sons Leon Smith, Sr., Carl James Smith, Sr., and Ronald Dawson, and her stepdaughter Janis Mayo. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Cleo Dawson. Services: September 19, 2024 at 11:00 am, Davis Funeral Homes Eastern.
