MARY C. FAIRWEATHER

Mary (Murphy) Fairweather, 92 from Henderson, NV went to be with her Lord on May 12, 2019. She passed away at Saint Rose Sienna from complications of hip surgery. She was surrounded by many of her family members. Mary was born June 18, 1926 in Westbury, Long Island, NY an only child of Bernard and Addie (Schneider) Murphy. She married the only love of her life, George Fairweather on April 13, 1947 at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Hempstead, Long Island, NY. They had two beautiful children, Jerome and Lynn. Mary worked most of her adult life as a professional switchboard operator in various telecommunication departments. She was a devout Catholic and was very involved in her local churches throughout her life. She spent countless hours constructing rosaries by hand for the poor, military and many family and friends. In 1982, George and Mary relocated and retired to Las Vegas to be surrounded by their 5 grandchildren. She lived a long beautiful life and for that we are extremely grateful. Mary is preceded in death by her beloved George (April 17, 2011) And her parents Bernard and Addie. She is survived by her children Jerome (Theresa) Fairweather, Lynn (Robert) Hellers, her 5 Grandchildren Julie (Eric) Dornak, Lisa Fairweather, Michael (Kendra) Fairweather, Jerry (Cari Anne) Fairweather and Theresa (Justin) Allison and 14 great grandchildren. We invite you to celebrate Mary's life beginning Monday, May 20th for a viewing from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by a Vigil Service at 6:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home on Eastern. On May 21st a celebration of life Mass will be held at 11:30 AM at Saint Thomas More Catholic Community, 130 North Pecos Road in Henderson, NV.
