Mary Helen Morris

Mary H. Morris (Giordano): August 8, 1933 - December 29, 2015. Mary was born in Philadelphia, PA, the 2nd eldest of 5 children. She moved to Las Vegas in 1954 where she met the love of her life. She took her last breath on a beautiful, sunny day with family at her side.

Mary was the Secretary/Treasurer for the Cement Mason's & Plasterer's Union Local 797 and retired after 30 years. Mary was a strong and beautiful woman who nourished her family with love, faith and God. She lived her life to the fullest and remained active including driving her own truck at the age of 80. She loved to read, crochet, sew, cook, deer hunt and fish and was the epitome of a mother, opening her home to all of her children's friends who even called her mom. She lived longer than many of her closest friends.

Mary is survived by her children William Morris and wife Diane of Henderson, Robin and husband Laszlo Szoke of Las Vegas, Alan Morris and wife Lori of Las Vegas, Kathy Hunsaker of Ely and Leslie Healer and husband Rick of Ruth, Nevada; also her brother Anthony Giordano and wife Judy of Pennsauken, NJ. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren (with 2 additional on the way), and 14 great grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Carmine and Angelina Giordano, her husband, William Morris, and daughter Cindy Lou Morris, brother's Rocco and Joseph Giordano and sister Fran Giordano.

Special thanks to the staff at UMC Medical Center for all of your care, support and love to her and our family. She will always be in our hearts.

Memorial Services will be held at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Avenue in Las Vegas, NV on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at 2:00 PM with graveside burial following. All are invited to attend.
