Mary Dell Sherrod

Mary Dell Sherrod, 69, a homemaker, of Las Vegas, passed away March 23, 2010, at Sunrise Hospital, from natural causes. She was born Nov. 6, 1940, to the late Robert and Claria Reeves, in Louisville, Miss., and was a 37year resident of Nevada. Mary Dell graduated from Louisville High School. She was married to the late James Henry Sherrod, U.S. Air Force ret.. They were stationed at Moody AFB, Valdosta, Ga., and Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, where they settled. She attended Victory Baptist Church. Mary was a great wife and mother. A great friend to everyone who knew her no matter what age. She was an excellent cook. You better ask somebody She loved to watch The Young and The Restless and her sons football games. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Sherrod father, Robert Reeves mother, Claira Reeves and inlaws, Bobby Sherrod and Lillyanne Sherrod. Mary is survived by her sons, James Darrell Sherrod and James Derwin Sherrod daughterinlaw, Teressa Sherrod brothersinlaw, Robert, John, Delane and Willie Sherrod sistersinlaw, Cathrine Wiltz and Mary GeterLion grandchildren, Troilse Day, Morgan Slaughter, Marcus Sherrod, Darion and Me Shale, Terra Joe, Terrell Lang, Malik Rosado and Monae Bell greatgrandchildren, Aamirah Cook and James Ryan Sherrod and godchildren, Melvin and Albert Ennis, Jock Jones, Brady Wells, Richard Cannon, Charles Gray and Sebron Toney.
