Max Dresser returned peacefully to his Heavenly Father after struggling with age related problems.
He was born Jan. 29, 1932, to Joseph Frank Dresser and Leola Mary Fry Dresser in San Diego. He grew up in the Los Angeles area. He leaves behind two children, Lorraine Gottardi Rick of Louisiana, and John Dresser LeiLani of California.
Letha Pauline Dresser, his wife of 44 years, preceded him in death Sept. 28, 2010.
He then moved to live with his daughter, Lorraine, who cared for him until he went to join his wife on the other side. He died two weeks short of his 80th birthday.
He is survived by one brother, Frank Joseph Dresser of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his father mother sister two stepsons one grandson and one stepgranddaughter.
He leaves behind two grandchildren by his son and one stepgrandson of his daughters. He also was a stepfather to the children of Letha, and leaves behind her remaining two daughters one son and the grandchildren. He lived in Las Vegas from 1970 until 2010, was employed at Channel 3 for about seven years and then went to work at the post office, which he retired from. He spent time in the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Princeston, an aircraft carrier during the Korean War.
