Mehdi Salamian, 66, passed away Friday evening on April 16, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mehdi was born in Esfahan, Iran to Rahim Salamian and Sedigheh Kazerouni on July 02, 1954.
Mehdi was sent by his parents to London, England at a young age to study but because he missed home, escaped the private school where he was attending primary school, bought an airplane ticket and went home to Iran, to his father’s surprise. He continued his study and finished primary and secondary education in Iran. He went to the USA in 1975, attended Northrop University in CA from 1975 to 1981 took Bachelor of Science major in Electronic Engineering. He also went to flying school in Santa Monica in 1977 and got his small airplane license in 1980. In 1981, he moved to Minnesota and got his bachelor and master degree in Agricultural Engineering in 1986 from University of Minnesota.
September 1985 in Los Angeles, CA, Mehdi met his wife, Lourdes Domingo. They got married on October 03, 1992 in Las Vegas, NV. In 1993, Mehdi as a single proprietor opened his gift shop and clothing and shoes stores in Sherman Oaks, CA. Mehdi and Lourdes moved to Las Vegas in 2010, when he started to become an active stock trader.
Mehdi’s father passed away in 1985 and mother in 1994.
Mehdi is survived by his wife, Lourdes Salamian and sister, Heshmat (Zarah) Salamian.
His wife’s family started a 9Day Rosary Prayer for him after passing away. On April 21, A mass for Mehdi was held in the Philippines, organized by his wife’s siblings in Australia and Philippines.
Funeral services will be held on April 28, 2021 at Davis Funeral Homes. He will have an hour viewing at 1PM in the Chapel at Davis Funeral Homes, 6200 S Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Interment will follow at Palm Eastern Cemetery at 7600 S Eastern Avenue Las Vegas, NV 89123 at the Reflection Garden, where Mehdi will be laid to rest on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 2PM.
His wife, Lourdes wishes to extend her sincere thanks to Dr. Babak Mahgerefteh, Dr. Jennifer Kumar, Maxicare Home Health for the special care and attention.
Lourdes also wishes to extend her sincere thanks to Mary Nobis, who stayed by her side and extended her tireless assistance to Lourdes during these difficult and grieving times. Lourdes wishes to say “she won’t make it if Mary wasn’t there every step of the way”.
