Melvin Ray Williams

Melvin Ray Williams Sr. was born July 1, 1928 to the union of Richard and Tera Williams in Salbine County Texas.

Melvin attended Hemphill High School.

Melvin was a man of deep faith, attending Rock of Ages in Maywood Illinois, under Pastor Wiley. And Word of Live under Pastor Foster in Lafayette Indiana.

Melvin was a hardworking man, he worked at Borg Warner, in Illinois for 38 years. Melvin started as a janitor and worked his way up to the sales department and became a machinist. After retiring and moving to Lafayette, Indiana Melvin became a city bus driver for 18 years. Melvin received may safe driving awards and loved by many.

Melvin made his final transition on February 12, 2020.

Melvin was proceeded in death by his parents Richard and Tera Williams, his brothers Hollis, Mozel and Herman and also his sister Lillian Giles.

Melvin leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Alicia, and his three sisters Hester Williams of Arizona. Ethel Chris and Joyce Williams of Texas. Four sons, Melvin Williams Jr. of Indiana, Michael Williams (Shannon) of Texas, Marcus Williams of Illinois and David McCall of Nevada. He also leaves three daughters, Tyicia Mims of Minnesota, Samantha Mims of Illinois, and Taylor McCall of Nevada. Eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
