OBITUARY
Michael Leonard Davis was born April 15th,1956 in Los Angeles California, the son of Earl Davis, Sr. and Willie Mae Davis (deceased); Bennie Davis, stepmother (deceased).
Mike attended and graduated from Alain Leroy Locke High School, East LA College, and the University of Colorado Boulder.
Mike made one of the most famous plays in Raider’s franchise history, the "Red Right 88" interception to clinch the 1980 AFC Divisional playoff game in Cleveland. The win secured a place in the AFC Championship Game for the Raiders, who would go on to win Super Bowl XV. Mike was a starter on the Raiders' Super Bowl XV and Super Bowl XVIII Championship teams. He was a dedicated and loyal teammate and friend to the entire Raiders organization.
Mike was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He maintained an active interest and participated with the development of his sons Michael Jr., and Allen, and grandson Michael III "Drew".
He was a very successful businessman with partnerships in popular franchises, Including Wendy's in his early playing days, and the "The Angry Crab" seafood restaurants, until his death.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 39 years, Mary, sons Michael Jr. and Allen; 3 brothers, Charles (Connie) Young, Stanley (Queen Mary) Davis, Earl Davis, Jr.; 3 sisters, Pamela (Larry) Hayes, Charlyn Davis, Foxxy Davis; grandson Michael Andrew Leonard Davis III; Godsons Latrell Jones and Tyler Townsend; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

You cannot possibly know how much your support - our family and many friends - have meant to us in this most difficult time. We love you and thank you for your visits, your calls, the countless acts of kindness, the gorgeous floral expressions, your presence today, and the abundance of prayer which has sustained us each day.
