Michael Gentile

Michael Donald Gentile, of Henderson, passed away peacefully July 25, 2014, after complications following open heart surgery June 9, 2014. Michael was born Oct. 12, 1931, to Filippo and Catina Gentile, in Boston. He was the tenth of 11 siblings. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Filippo and Catina of Boston and his siblings, Joseph, Antoinette, Mary, James, Frank, Albert, Rose, Salvatore and Eugene. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 62 years, Helen son, Michael and his wife, Sarah of Henderson daughters, Lisa Samia and her husband, James, of Avon, Conn., and Kris Ann OHerron and her husband, David, of South Weymouth, Mass. brother, Phillip and his wife, Jacqui, of North Quincy, Mass. granddaughter, Amanda Gentile and grandson, Michael OHerron. Viewing will be 48 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, at St. Thomas More Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial with full military honors will follow at noon at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City.
