Michael Calvin Hines passed away in peace on Wednesday September 1, 2021 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 73.
Mike will be sorely missed and survived by his brother Barry Bonner, Sisters Wanda Griffith, Jayne Bonner and Thelma Golbert.
He is also survived by his loving wife of 48 years Frazenia and their 3 children: Calvin, Delvin and Zennia; grandchildren: Kirah, Derrick, Davian, Donovan, Denzel, Destiny and Aria; great-grandchildren: Zariha, and Zaida.
Mike was born in Savannah Georgia on July 9, 1948 as a young man he migrated to Los Angeles, CA. In 1971 he met the love of his life, the first time he saw Frazenia he knew she was going to be his wife, they married on April 6, 1973. Mike became a Mason at a very young age and lived by the Masonic Oath. He was a Heavy Truck Driver and worked for NASA for many years and continued to work as a heavy truck driver until Frazenia made him retire.
After retiring Mike made it a job to call and check on everyone, he always made sure everyone was ok whether he was just calling to say hi or to see how you were doing. Many looked forward to his calls and they will be missed
He loved playing Bingo, listening to blues music and he enjoyed fishing, his favorite hobby was eating, he loved to Eat!
Some would call him a Hero he helped save several lives over the years.
He was a football coach and impacted young men by being a father figure and teaching them how to play football! Speaking of football he was The Raiders #1 Fan, no matter what! RAIDERS…… He knew how to make you laugh he was just naturally funny!
Mike was a real man and made sure you knew it, if you spent enough time with him you would learn something new and he would teach you a lesson in Dominoes. He loved his family and enjoyed sharing memories from his photo albums. Memories that will always be treasured. He was one of the greatest and he will truly be missed.
