Michael Alan Stratton

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Alan Stratton, 72 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on March 27, 2025 at his home in Las Vegas. Michael was born in Sun Valley, California to Alfred Basel Stratton and Lynnette Sue Rusch Brough on November 4, 1952.

Mike graduated from Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley in 1970, where his natural curiosity and passion for learning took root. Throughout his life, he found joy in working with his hands, excelling in construction, building computers, electronics and woodworking. He worked as an Electrician for Bally's Hotel and Casino until he retired at the age of 55 to enjoy his time with family and his boat. Beyond his professional skills, Mike had a love for reading, technology, diving and football- earning two diving trophies. He was a lifelong learner always exploring new ideas and pushing the boundaries of his knowledge. He married the love of his life Eva Stratton, on May 26, 1993. 

Mike is proceeded into death by his mother, father and his beloved grandparents Jack and Alberta Barrett and Charles and Lillian Rusch.

Michael is survived by his wife Eva, three daughters, Nichole Stratton, Natalie Stratton, Courtney Stratton Shelton and a son, Scott Evans. One sister, Cynthia Gordon.. He has twelve grandchildren, Blake Stratton, Christopher Coley, Griffin Landis, Trevor Landis, Joshua Coley, Ryan Coley, Scarlett Wright, Summer Shelton, Weston Shelton, Hadley Shelton, Robert Evans, and Matthew Evans.

His greatest passions of his life were sailing on his boat "Snake Eyes", working on his new boat " Jack Pot", the ocean, and watching his favorite football team the " Raiders".

Viewing Services will be held 4pm-6pm on the 25th of April at Davis Funeral Home in Las Vegas, Nevada.
