Mila Catherine (Hunt) Labate- Born January 5, 1930 in Louisville, KY entered into eternal rest on March 2, 2015 in Las Vegas, NV. During her youth she played the viola for Shawnee High School and later completed a year of Nurses' training at KY Baptist Hospital. Mila served in the Women's Army Corp in the Registrar's office of the U.S. Army Signal Corp School in Fort Monmouth, NJ in the late 1950's and was honorably discharged. She spent her final years writing letters to Veterans overseas through the organization ""One Million Thanks"" and recently became a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mila also enjoyed writing children's stories which she hoped to publish one day. Mila is preceded in death by her parents Fred Jasper Hunt and Ruth Caroline (Stubblefield) Hunt. She is survived by family in Arizona: son Steven, grandchildren Stephanie (Dominic), Joshua (Nicole), James (Rachael) and Laura (Stephen).
