Sadly, on the morning of January 6, 2021 Moises “Moe” Espinoza passed away at the age of 50 in his Las Vegas home from COVID-19. Moises was born in San Fernando, California to Helia Espinoza-Danhieux, and his step-father Gerold Danhieux on February 22, 1970.
Moises served from 1989 through 1993 as a proud U.S. Marine. He was member of the 1st Battalion doing basic training at Camp Pendleton. He served with distinction as a Corporal. Throughout his Marine Corp service he earned the following medals and honors: Rifle Marksman Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal (w/3 Stars), Kuwait Liberation Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (w/1 Star), Good Conduct Medal, and Meritorious Mast. He also received a Letter of Appreciation, Navy Unity Commendation.
Moises is survived by his loving children Naomi, Cheyenne, Steven, Angel, Angelica, Honorina, Adrienna, and his grandchildren Bella, Harlee, and Olive. He is also survived by his mother Helia, and siblings Lori, Christina, Theresa, Penny, Ernest, Elizabeth, Steven, Wendy and Mark.
The funeral services for Moises will be held on February 23, 2021 at Davis Funeral Home followed by a military service at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. Following the service, he will be interned there.
The Espinoza family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to those who have continued to care for them throughout their grieving process.
