On Sunday, June 23, 2019, Oscar “Roger” Perreault passed away at the age of 89. Roger, as he was often referred to, was born on June 2, 1930, in Biddeford Maine to Alcidase and Alice Perreault and was the only boy out of five children. At the age of 17, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and spoke fondly of his time in the service throughout his life. On August 26, 1950, he married Theresa Devesconi, and they remained together until her passing in March of 2002. They raised two sons, Rocky and Joe, and daughter Teri. He dedicated 23 years to Grumman where he retired in 1990, and like the Navy, spoke fondly of his tenure. In 2004 he met and married Helen Haag.
Roger loved his career, his family, and a good game of cards. He often enjoyed building models, tending to his roses, watching the NY Mets, and spaghetti on Sundays. An animal lover, his dog remained by his side until he passed. He was known for his unbreakable work ethic, his humor, and his quick wit.
He is survived by his wife Helen, his three children Rocky, Joe, and Teri, his five grandchildren Chantel, Joseph, Valerie, Scott, and Rick in addition to his four great-grandchildren Nick, Trent, Lennox, and Elijah.
