Patricia Marie Moss, 85, a resident of Las Vegas, peacefully passed away December 14, 2010. She was born October 26, 1925 in Payne, Ohio and was a 31year resident of Las Vegas. Pat will always be remembered by friends and family who knew her as being a sharp dresser and one classy lady.
Pat was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith in Payne, Ohio. In 1949, she married Byron Moss and moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. After just a few short years of marriage, Byron passed away in 1956.
Pats career included working for several years in retail establishments in Fort Wayne, and in Columbus, Ohio. Tired of the Midwest winters, in 1980, Pat relocated west to Las Vegas. Once here, she continued her career in retail and eventually retired from the Federated Department Stores.
With an attraction to keno, video poker, and the lively gaming atmosphere, Caesars Palace became Pats alltime favorite destination. In recent years, with the rising congestion of the strip, Pat still loved visiting the smaller neighborhood casinos.
Despite a modest income, Pat was always willing to share with those in need, whether they were family members or charitable organizations. Her generosity to others was noteworthy.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Moss parents, John and Marie Krohn brothers, Doyle, Ambrose, and Ray Krohn sisters, Marcile and Nancy.
Patricia is survived by her brothers, Herman, Henry, and Walter Krohn, of Indiana and nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
