Patricia Slack

Patricia “Patty” Darlene Slack, age 75, of Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. She was born on July 14, 1945 in Pasco, WA. to Wallace G. Solem and Rose A. Gravelle.

Patty has touched many lives during her many years living in Las Vegas and the most recent 11 years in Henderson.

She was actively engaged in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many callings. Her most favorite by far would be the many years working with the young men in the scouting program. Patty was instrumental in many boys' lives and helped them achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, including her son Chris and a couple of grandchildren. This service with The Boy Scouts of America earned her many recognitions, one, in particular, being The Silver Beaver Award.

Family was the most important thing to Patty. She would do anything for her children and grandchildren. Their joy was hers as well.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents and brother. She is survived by her husband, Merlin W. Slack, and her children: Michelle Whittacre (Brett), Christopher Slack (Tiffany), and Melissa Dorrity; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on June 12, 2021, at 2:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel, 485 Mission Drive, Henderson, NV. 89015
