After a horrendous fight, Philip Cachia age 66, lost his courageous battle with cancer Thursday, December 5, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born in Queens, New York on October 3, 1947 to loving parents Ida and Salvatore Cachia, Sr., Philip was raised in the Norman Rockwell town of Pleasantville, New York where he shared his tremendous passion for life with his three brothers. Philips thirst for independence and adventure allowed him to witness some of the nations most prolific events including Woodstock, the infamous shootings at Kent State University, and the peace and love movement of Haight Ashbury. His creative and unleashed spirit found him residing in several states throughout his life but his heart always belonged to California. Philips intensity engulfed everything he touched He was an artist, an architect, a contractor, an entrepreneur, and a classic car enthusiast. Undoubtably his greatest legacy will be that of a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and unconditional friend to so many.
Philip is survived by his wife Gywnne Cachia of Las Vegas, NV son Marc Harrall of Huntington Beach, CA daughter Tracy Pavloff and grand children Skyler, Aiden, Brandon, and Chace Pavloff of Huntington Beach, CA He leaves behind three brothers Frank Cachia of Winston Salem, NC Salvatore Cachia Jr. of Las Vegas, NV and Gerald Cachia of Seminole, FL as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and celebration of life for family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
