Philip Wilson

LAS VEGAS- Philip Francis Wilson, age 45 passed away unexpectedly on 13th March 2024.

He was born in Glasgow, Scotland to parents John and Patricia Wilson. He attended Holy Cross High School in Hamilton followed by one year at Glasgow University when he left to follow his passion for music. He formed Regorge with friends from Hamilton then joined Gorerotted in London.

Philip worked for London Underground for many years before moving to New York in 2017. He moved to Las Vegas in 2020 where he worked for Rugged Entertainment as a stage hand whenever he was not touring. He was highly regarded by coworkers as a leader, skilled worker, comedian and even father figure.

He grew up in a home surrounded by his dad's music. Music was his passion and he created music and built guitars in his free time. Though his death was unexpected, his legacy will live on in each of us who was privileged to know him.

He is survived by his parents, his brothers Chris and Johnny, sister Clare and his beloved 98 year old Granny Catherine. He is also much loved by his 3 nephews, his niece, aunts and cousins.

He is fondly remembered by many friends in Scotland.

His family and close friends will gather in Hamilton at an upcoming date to honour and remember our wonderful son, brother, uncle and dear friend.
