Phyllis Zigtema Nebron was a native Las Vegan born on April 12th, 1935 and passed away December 19th at 89 years old.
Phyllis was born in Las Vegas when there was a population of 25,000. She graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1954. Her father, Barney, owned Barney's Grocery in North Las Vegas on the only paved road. The Market became 5th St. Market at 5th and Garces until 1948; he retired and it became Mike's Market. Phyllis worked at First National Bank from 1953 to 1957, went to work as a Front Office Cashier at the Riviera Hotel in 1961 and stayed there for 40 years. She was a welcoming and smiling face to many.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Arch Gerald (Jerry) Nebron of Henderson, NV; her daughter Debbie (Bob) Carpenter of Tulsa, OK; stepdaughters Teri (Jim) Newman of Reno, NV and Tracy (Dave) Ryan of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
