Randy Bumgardner, 74, passed away peacefully on Sept. 14 2024, with his sons and daughter by his side. Randy was born on July 12, 1950 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, to Clauston and Doris Bumgardner. The family moved to Nevada in 1962 and Randy graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1968.

Randy was a proud member of the IBEW Local 357 and a 2nd generation electrician. He was known as “Bummy” to all of his friends and spent his entire career as an electrician working in Las Vegas, including some time at the Nevada Test Site. After retiring, Randy enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Duck Creek, UT or in a garage helping friends with whatever project needed an extra set of hands.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Clauston and Doris Bumgardner. He is survived by his sons, Eric Bumgardner and Ryan Bumgardner, daughter, Lisa Shortridge, and grandchildren, Hailey, Kade, Mya and Wyatt.

Visitation and remembrance will be held Sunday Sept. 29th at 2:00pm at Davis Funeral Homes Eastern, followed by a graveside burial service at 3:00 pm.
