Raul Valles Cereceres

Raul Valles Cereceres was born on October 16, 1993 in his beloved El Paso, Texas to Claudia Cereceres and Raul Valles. Sadly he passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.

Rulis, as we call him, was a wonderful person who loved his family, his soul mate, Erika Laney, boxer, Penny who he named after his grandfathers boxer, close friends, video games, camping, paintball, classic rock roll, jazz, classical music, and old cars. He was a deep thinker, kind and compassionate person, loyal friend, loving brother, son, grandson, boyfriend, cousin, and nephew. He truly was a gentle soul perhaps too gentle for this world.

He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Those of us fortunate enough to have been loved by him will never be able to recover from his absence. We do take comfort in knowing that he is resting peacefully and that we will eventually be together again.

Raul is survived by his loving parents, sister Sofia, girlfriend Erika Laney, boxer Penny, grandmothers Corina Cereceres Laura Sierra Valles, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Benito Humberto Cereceres and Ramon Valles, who he loved dearly and missed so much.

We want to thank everyone for their outpouring of love, prayers, and kind words. Although there are no words to take away the pain we feel, we are so grateful for the support and compassion we have received by so many.
