Rhoda Kelly was born October 9, 1944 to Isadore and Thelma Lovato in Alamosa a small town in Colorado. Rhoda learned lots through hard work and helping raise her younger brothers and sisters. She was a business owner, entrepreneur, loving wife and mother.
Rhoda departed this life on January 12, 2019. She was proceeded in death by her parent; Isadore and Thelma, brothers: Ruben and Raymond and her sister Dorothy. She leaves behind 5 sisters: Florence, Joann, Nadine, Ann, and Kathy; and 5 brothers: Marcello, Leroy, Emilio, Harold and Manuel. She will be truly missed by her loving husband, Robert Kelley, her children Mark, Rhonda, Melissa, step children: Kathy, Shawn and Shannan. Her enjoyable grandchildren: Ashley, Megan, Hunter, Zoe and Ian; a new great grandbaby with more on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other loving relatives and friends.
Rhoda was truly blessed to live most of her life on the Western Slope of the Rockies in Colorado. Rhoda enjoyed: embroidery, reading, taking care of her husband, sharing special moments with her children and grandchildren. Rhoda was a kind soul that found the good in everyone. She spoke kind of all and encouraged kind-heartedness in others. She had a fun sense of humor and enjoyed picking on those close to her. She enjoyed playing games and on her last night home she even skunked her daughter at Rummy. She lived her last days through the struggle of her illness, never missing a moment to make things as normal as possible for herself and those around her. She was truly a joy to be with no matter what she was going through. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those that knew her.
