Richard Gary Carson

Richard Gary Carson, 68, passed away on December 30, 2020, in Henderson, NV. Rich was born on January 17, 1952, in Salt Lake City, UT to Betty and Richard Carson. While growing up in Utah, one of his greatest achievements was graduating from the University of Utah on a Track and Field scholarship. Throughout college, Rich began working for American Stores (now known as CVS) where he would spend close to 50 years, a rare accomplishment. Over his career, Rich was very dedicated and very much loved by his employees as the store manager of many different locations in Utah, Colorado, and the Las Vegas/Henderson valley. He enjoyed eating out with family, a hard days work, watching sports, and loved some good old-fashioned people-watching. He was married to the love of his life for almost 40 years. Together they had one son and would travel to various destinations around the world. His happiest moments came far later in life when his two grandsons were born, both of which were the only thing that mattered, as any proud Grandfather would say. Rich is survived by his wife Jeanie, son Nickolas (Kimberly), brother Mike, and grandsons Cooper and Reaves. Funeral Services will be held at Davis Memorial Park on January 17th at 1:00 pm for family and close friends. Please wear masks and practice social distancing.
