RICHARD WILLIAMS Richard Ric Dudley Williams, 64, of Las Vegas, passed away June 29, 2011 during surgery.
He was born to the late Raymond and Donna Williams, Aug. 23, 1946, in Minneapolis.
Ric received an MBA from the University of Washington in 1993, and was 40 credits into his PhD from Capella University. Ric served in the Navy from 19641971, making two deployments to Vietnam with Helicopter Support Squadron6 as a search and rescue crewman, partially responsible for the rescue of 19 crewmen. During his service, he was twice awarded the Air Medal and received various campaign and service medals.
After his naval career, he held various positions in the political and business community and created his own entertainment production company and talentmanagement agency. Ric was an active member of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club, as well as a Master Mason in the Reseda Lodge 666. He loved to travel, and took many cruise liner and scuba diving trips throughout his lifetime.
Ric is survived by three children, Sean Williams, of Virginia Beach, Va., Patrick Williams, of Murrieta, Calif., and Shannen Bradley, of Simi Valley, Calif. He also is survived by six grandchildren.
The family is requesting that donations be made out to NavyMarine Corps Relief Society.
