Robert Batterson

August 12, 1935 — July 20, 2024

Robert Dwaine Batterson, affectionately known as "Bob", was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 20, 2024. He was born on August 12, 1935, in Martinsburg, WV to parents Ronald and Eleanor Batterson.

Following his graduation from Martinsburg High School in 1954, Bob served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958, receiving training as an electronics technician. It was during his time in the Air Force that he married his High School Sweetheart, Jaundrya Ann Racey, on May 28, 1955.

After serving in the Air Force, Bob began his career at Vitro Laboratories. During his time at Vitro he attended Capital Tech, Montgomery College, and Ventura Junior College. Bob also participated in the Executive Development Program at Penn State University. In 1986, he rose to the position of Vice President of West Coast Operations, retiring in 1997.

After retirement, Bob and Jaundrya moved from their home of 28 years in Westlake Village, California to Henderson, Nevada where they enjoyed their golden years together.

Bob's legacy lives on through his loving spouse, Jaundrya Batterson, his son Robert J. Batterson (Wife Jan) of Red Bluff, CA, his daughters Rachèl Campbell (husband Murray) of Neosho, MO, Lisa Cauthen (Husband Randy) of Cypress, TX, Rebecca Batterson of Solana Beach, CA, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Bob held a deep love for God, his country, and his cherished family. Most of all, his heart belonged to Jaundrya, his beloved wife of 70 years. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

May he rest in peace.
