Robert L. Braner, 58, of Las Vegas, passed away August 19, 2010. He was born March 2, 1952, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Robert and Reba Braner, and grew up in Prescott, Arizona, and Ojai, California.
He graduated from Nordhoff High School in Ojai and spent two years at Ventura Junior College. He transferred to UNLV and obtained a degree in hotel administration. At UNLV, Robert was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and played football under Coach Ron Meyer, receiving the R.E. Doc Tobler Award.
He was a member of Community Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Las Vegas Hotel Managers Association, a cub master for the Boy Scouts of America, and coached for the Paradise Valley National Little League, Green Valley Little League, as well as for Southern Nevada Pop Warner.
Robert is survived by his wife, JoEllen children, Sandra, Laura and Eric soninlaw, Brett and his two fourlegged children, Lucky and Buddy.
