Robert (Core) Glenn Dever, 69 passed away peacefully on Saturday June 27 th, 2015 with the love of his life for 40 years Patricia Dever, by his side. Bob was born in Detroit, Michigan to Mildred Hoffman and Hershel Dever. He was raised in Allen Park, Michigan and graduated from Allen Park High School. He lived in Romulus Michigan and Las Vegas Nevada. He was a serviceman in the US Air Force and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 23 years. He suffered a massive stroke in 2005 that left him paralyzed on one side and unable to speak. Bob was a passionate man who enjoyed playing pool and poker. He owned the Freer Bar in Detroit Michigan for 16 years and later relocated to his favorite vacation destination Las Vegas Nevada where he owned The Philly Pub on West Charleston Blvd for 13 years. In his spare time he loved playing poker at The Mirage, watching any Detroit sports team, and spending time with his family at Las Vegas Wranglers hockey games. Bob was extremely proud of his two daughters Samantha (Dave) Dever Hutchins and Lindsay (Beau) Dever. He also enjoyed his four young grandchildren. A special thank you to Prime Residential and his caregiver Lucky for their loving care and support for the last 5 years. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home 6200 Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday July 5 th. There will also be a service at 1:20 pm on July 6th where he will be laid to rest at Southern NevadaVeterans Memorial Cemetary 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada Memorial donations can be made to The American Stroke Association.
