Robert Doyle

Robert "Bob" Alan Doyle, 71, of Henderson, NV passed away as a result of complications from multiple myeloma on Saturday, August 21, 2021 surrounded by family. Bob was born in Chicago, IL on October 14, 1949 to the late Joseph and Antoninette Doyle.  

Bob is survived by his son Rob Doyle (Kayla) of Henderson; grandchildren Kaiden and Kylan Calvert-Doyle; brothers Phil (Sharon) and Joe (Susan); he was preceded in death by his parents; brother Tom; and sister Judy Gill.

Bob was a decorated Vietnam War veteran with two purple hearts and had been awarded a Bronze Service Star for his heroism. In the war he was part of the long-range reconnaissance patrol (LRRP), and told many stories of his time in the jungle. Unfortunately, the effects of agent orange weren't known at the time and it took a toll on Bob's retirement years.

He enjoyed a great Chicago pizza and occasionally making one of his own. He also spent time shooting pool, handicapping horse racing, beating the spread on NFL games, playing poker, and fishing. His ashes will be spread where the big fish swim.
