Robert Allen New

March 25, 1935 — December 2, 2020

Robert A. New of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on December 2, 2020. He was born in Lingle, Wyoming to Pete and Mollie New on March 25, 1935. He joined the Marine Corps at seventeen and was honorably discharged in 1955 when he married Laura Regina Keller.

He went to work as a trucker and later long haul (Ice Road) trucker and ran the haul road from Anchorage to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. He became a Teamster and later owned his own trucking company, "RA New Trucking." Bob had a passion for motorcycling, trucking, AA, and his family. During his 45 years of sobriety, he sponsored countless souls and helped better the lives of many. He had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and was an astute ballroom dancer with Fred Astair dance studio.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Mollie New, his son Wayne and grandson Travis. He is survived by his sister, Dixie Schied of Bilings, his two sons, Ken (Linda), Keith (Monique) and his daughters Cindy and Julie and his stepson, Kenny Wondra (Charlene) of Craig, CO. Bob has twelve grandchildren Christy, Amy, Ryan, Cody, Lindley, Anthony, Eric, Lindsey, Whitney, Ashley, and Kyra. Twelve great-grandchildren Dakota, Mikayla, Nora, Jade, Fayble, Lydia, Adalyn, Stella, Asher, Eleanor, Rylan, and Lincoln.

A viewing is scheduled at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park on December 12, 2020, from 10am to 12pm.
