Robert Roy Rightmyer passed onto heaven December 11, 2016. He is survived by his wife Pamela Rightmyer and is loved immensely by his four Children, Tammy Toma (Ross), Terri Rightmyer-Heist (Tim), Jeff Rightmyer (Dawn) and Karen Scoville and his eleven Grandchildren, Sam Allen, David Allen, Nina Allen, Daniel Allen, James Allen, Michael Allen, Amy Scoville, Jesse Scoville, Kaeli Rightmyer, Kenny Toma and Robby Toma. He is the youngest of five children by his loving parents Harold Rightmyer and Eva Popp and is survived by his brother Donald Rightmyer.
He loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart and always talked to his friends about how proud he is of them. His friends and all who knew him loved him and always enjoyed his amazing personality and caring heart. He always wanted everyone to be happy and enjoy.
Robert (Bob) accomplished many professional business achievements in his full life. He believed and always appreciated hard work, family and the people surrounding him. He always approached life with an entrepreneurial spirit developing one of the largest paint and decorating companies in the Midwest (Paint America Corporation) including retail stores, a paint plant and distribution warehouse. His joy was approaching business with new ways of innovating. He always loved to learn new ways of improving things around him. Even after 20 years of running his business he went onto attend business building classes at the Harvard Business School for business owners.
Bob loved his country and was proud to be an American and believed in the freedom of inventing and building a business. He was proud of the freedoms we have in America. He was proud to have served in the Army and his specialty of pattern making for the troops.
Bob believed in giving back to the community with his philanthropic work with the City of Hope and sponsorship of the Shriners. He also created a program to paint homes for those in need called a Paint-a-thon in Dayton, Ohio.
There will be a Memorial Service in his honor December 28th in Dayton, Ohio. More details to follow.
