Bernel was born August 18th, 1939, in Las Tablas, New Mexico. His parents were Ocabiano & Cleotilde Pacheco. Bernel was 1 of 7 siblings: Tony, Richard, Leo, Lorraine, Ester and Herman. At a young age he learned various musical instruments, guitar, bass, trumpet, and piano. But his love was guitar and bass. He joined the Navy in 1955 and served till he was honorably discharged in 1959. His love for music took him on the road. Where he played with many musicians and bands along the way. His love for sports also was instilled in him, where he played various sports including softball, basketball and golf.
Bernel settled in Burbank, Ca and sold cars until he opened his own gas station, with the help of his younger brother Bones. In 1985 he moved to Las Vegas NV. Where for a short time he sold Mobile Homes. He became a USPS worker for over 25 years. Until he retired in 2022.
Bernel has 5 children: Rudy, Paul, Pete, John, and Natalie Pacheco. Bernel also has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Including many Nieces and Nephews.
Bernel passed away September 17th, 2022, in Las Vegas.
